Basic Discovery Program
The Stanford neuroscience community represents one of the largest and most successful neuroscience groups in the world. The Alzheimer’s Translational Research Center will provide a focal point to bring together neuroscientists, and indeed other faculty members, who are conducting research with potential relevance to AD. The Center will substantially increase the chances that discoveries made in any one of the large number of neuroscience fields will contribute to finding effective treatments for AD.
